The famous bar is expanding to all parts of the globe. With its most recent openings in Bishkek-Kyrgyzstan, Tokyo-Japan, and Cardiff-Wales, the brand is in negotiations with Australia, New Zealand, India, Canada, and others. Momentum has continued to build in recent months and there are strong signs of many more locations to come.
Recent focus on the UK has led to the brand’s most recent signing, one for the expansion rights for the entire UK and Ireland markets! Franchise owner Steve Lewis who opened the first Coyote Ugly bar in the UK in December of last year, has now set his sights on the rest of the UK. The next opening will be in Liverpool, followed by bars in cities like Birmingham, Dublin, Edinburgh, Belfast, Manchester, Blackpool, with more to come.

Epic venue
The 2016 opening of the Cardiff bar was the Coyote Ugly entry into the UK. The bar is in The Square, a historic building in the heart of the city that originally functioned as the Philharmonic Theater. With a major renovation, the bar was transformed and the Coyote Ugly parties began with a ticketed Grand Opening event where all proceeds were donated to support breast cancer research. “In its first year, Coyote Ugly has been very well received and the epic venue has continued to fill every night since opening! It has become a destination for locals and tourists alike coming to experience the Coyote Culture! It’s been a great entry to the UK market and we are so excited to continue expansion there!” Livingston says.
This recent surge in the brand’s expansion is just the beginning, as Coyote Ugly is in development conversations with potential franchisees in Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Germany, Canada, Mexico and other exciting locations. “With major cities like Sydney, Shanghai, Bangkok, Montreal, Cancun, Rio, and many more still available, there are amazing opportunities for Coyote Ugly all around the world,” Livingston says.
