Phenix Salon Suites is a fast-growing property management franchise, and has announced its intentions to operate in the Australian market. The brand has grown to 300 locations around the globe.
Gina Rivera founded the brand in 2007 and found that a majority of booth renters little to no support to ensure the success of the lifestyle professionals. Rivera saw how she could improve this model, and launched Phenix Salon Suites. The brand gives lifestyle professionals the opportunity to operate their own business at a significantly lesser cost than that of a traditional salon.
The brand runs as a co-working concept, with franchisees running the property and facilities. The model is being copied across the industry as it allows lifestyle professionals to be in charge of their own careers and working hours.
“Phenix Salon Suites is a perfect add-on property management franchise for existing F&B franchisees who are seeking a low employee and high revenue brand to leverage their franchise portfolio,” said Bill Edwards, a senior global representative for Phenix Salon Suites and the founder of Edwards Global Services.
The brand doesn’t require its franchisees to be experts on beauty or hair.
“We like the Phenix model as it is much simpler to operate than our other franchise businesses,” said Aaron Patel, U.K. Phenix licensee and multi-unit franchisee of Subway, Starbucks and Snap Fitness.
“Phenix is a unique brand to work with, having a coworking concept and operating as a property management franchise,” said James Young, head of franchise sales and development at DC Strategy.
“Typically, we haven’t seen this concept operating in Australia but with the proven success of their business model around the world, it’s very exciting to connect with individuals, wanting to get into the property market and have the support of a brand like Phenix Salon Suites. It’s already looking like it’s going to be a very popular brand”.
