Ovenu, the oven cleaning franchise brand, has announced the renewal of its master franchisee agreement in Australia with Bernand and Janet Bannon. The couple has signed a 15-year deal, which includes an option to extend the deal by a further 15 years.
“I’m delighted that Bernard and Janet have opted to continue their journey with us into the foreseeable future. They have been extremely successful in establishing and building the Ovenu network in Australia and I’m convinced they will continue to grow the brand,” said Rik Hellewell, founder and managing director of Ovenu Franchising Limited in the U.K.
“Current legislation in Australia meant everything took a little longer than anticipated but it was very important to ensure every aspect of the renewal was completed correctly.”
The duo first joined Ovenu in 2005 and have since built a sprawling franchise network of over 30 franchisees, forming the nation’s largest oven valeting and detailing business. The demand for its services continues to rise, and consequently, Ovenu is now established in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney, together with the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Albury-Wodonga.
Bernand and Janet came across the brand while they called an Ovenu franchisee in to clean the oven of their restaurant when they were still living on the Channel Island of Jersey. The deal was finally concluded after eight months of structured negotiations.
“We have plans to bring other experienced family members into managerial roles to help us take the business to the next level,” said Bernard.
“We are delighted to have concluded the master franchise agreement with Rik and look forward to enjoying even greater success over the next 15 years.”
