Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken has announced the opening of its newest location in Thousand Oaks, California. The new unit opened on 6 August following a week of soft-opening activities.
“It’s an exciting time for Rise as we extend our ‘biscuit belt’ from coast to coast with the opening of our first West Coast location in Thousand Oaks,” said Ken Priest, chief financial officer of Rise.
“It’s about time that Californians get a taste of the best dang biscuits in the biz.”
This location marks the first in the state and is located in the Conejo Valley Plaza shopping center at 1408 N Moorpark Road. It is the first of five restaurants that franchisee Bill Propster has signed on for. The former Domino’s franchisee expects to open further locations in Santa Clarita and the San Fernando Valley.
The brand is preparing itself for record expansion and franchise sales, and currently has 20 corporate locations under development, doubling the brand’s current footprint. The new locations are expected to open in Maryland, Tennessee, Florida and more states.
