School of Rock left the Global Franchise Awards ceremony in Las Vegas with not only one but two awards, ultimately scooping the greatest recognition – the Grand Champion Award. This award celebrates the brand that has shown growth in all areas and was selected by a team of franchising journalists with a shortlist comprising of all other award winners.
Unlimited potential
When CEO Rob Price found out School of Rock has also been named Grand Champion, he added: “It’s a great tribute to our community and to our franchisees. I wish I could bring them all here with me to share in the celebration.
“This means validation of our business concept, our purpose and the significance of our brand. But the most important thing that it means is that we’re making a big impact in the world and in music education at a time when everyone needs creative self-expression to be in a position to scale in so many countries and to bring this vision to life. It’s a great acknowledgment of the importance, significance and specialness of what we do.
“We only have 328 schools today. Worldwide, we’re operating in 15 countries, soon to be 16. But we see dozens of additional markets, and we see hundreds and hundreds of additional schools in our existing markets. So, we do expect a scale in terms of footprint, but we’re also evolving the concept fairly radically to make sure that we’re offering even more programing, more curriculum and more associated revenue drivers for our franchisees to keep that concept fresh!”
