Monster Tree Service franchisees, Bill Baxter and John Parra, are further growing the arborist and tree service franchise’s presence in the U.S.
Entrepreneur John Parra purchased the rights to the northern Rhode Island territory, covering Cumberland, Lincoln, Smithfield, Johnston, and surrounding areas, while Bill Baxter’s territory in Flowery Branch, Georgia covers Gainesville, Buford, Cumming, Braselton, and surrounding areas.
With this move, one of the nation’s fastest-growing tree service franchises, Monster Tree Service is following through on its rapid three-year franchise system growth.
A seasoned professional in the area of tree care, Parra aims to officially launch his business in early July. Drawing on his experience working on his father’s tree farm in Brazil, Parra is excited to continue his family’s legacy in the tree business.
“Growing up, I learned a lot from my father,” said Parra. “ His strong work ethic and love of the outdoors is still with me today. Our family farm raised pine and eucalyptus trees that were eventually turned into pulp and then exported to the United States to make cardboard. Even before I made Rhode Island my home, I felt like I had a connection to this country.
“I am so excited to join the Monster Tree Service team. I have always loved nature and working outside. I’m looking forward to this new chapter as a small-business owner. I have developed a tight-knit team of tree care professionals. It’s like working in a big family. We can’t wait to get started.”

Georgia territory franchisee Bill Baxter hit the ground running, bringing the franchise to his community. Baxter left a successful career as an information technology consultant to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions, investing in the Monster Tree Service franchise.

Baxter said, “I love being out in the community and meeting people. As an IT consultant, being comfortable selling your business expertise is very important. It’s the same with tree service. I enjoy showing my customers how we can add value to their properties.
