The premier European conference for master, multi-unit and multi-brand franchising will be coming to Vienna this January
Franchise Update Media, in collaboration with MFV/Comexposium, will host their second European Master & Multi-Unit Franchising Conference at the Hotel Savoyen in Vienna, Austria on January 28-29, 2020.
Multi-unit, multi-brand, and master franchisees are invited to the two-day conference designed to address the common issues and solutions concerning European franchise expansion. This event is a golden opportunity to network with like-minded franchisors, franchisees, and master developers who are primarily interested in adding new units/brands across Europe.
“This conference is modeled on our highly successful Multi-Unit Franchising Conference (draws 1,700 attendees), held each spring in Las Vegas and is now entering its 20th year,” said Therese Thilgen, CEO of Franchise Update Media. “Our U.S. conference continues to draw more international visitors every year, many of whom asked us about holding a similar event in Europe as interest in multi-unit and multi-brand franchising there continues to grow.”
The agenda will include three keynote speakers including Catherine Monson, CEO of U.S.-based Fastsigns International, as the opening keynote, ‘The State of Franchising: U.S. and Global Perspectives’. A second keynote, ‘Building a High-Performance Growth Culture in a Mega Franchisee System’, will follow from Glen Helton, vice chairman of NSP Corp., a franchisee of Burger King, KFC, and TGI Fridays based in Sweden. Guest speaker Andreas Schwerla, former managing director of McDonald’s Austria and Central Europe, and currently a 10-unit McDonald’s franchisee in Austria, will speak on ‘How To Be Best in Class’.
Content designed for the conference will be segmented into two tracks: the ‘Master Franchising Track’ and the ‘Multi-Unit/Multi-Brand Track’. Master franchising – a key part of this growing trend – continues to be the primary vehicle for brands looking to expand into Europe. The continuing growth of multi-unit and multi-brand franchisees across Europe will also be a major focus. Attendees can look forward to general assemblies, networking opportunities, receptions, and a closing gala in the elegant and historical, Wiener Rathauskeller.
Over 50 speakers and panelists from more than 10 countries will include master franchisees, multi-unit and multi-brand franchisees, franchisors, international franchise attorneys, consultants, and suppliers.
