An inclusive fitness brand achieves two goals in one, with its 100th opening, and entrance to the Houston health market.
Blink Fitness is a burgeoning fitness brand in the States, with 140 Blink locations open or in development throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, California, Illinois, Florida, Virginia, Massachusetts – and now Houston, Texas.
Four new gyms are scheduled to open in Houston in the coming months, and the first of these – the Spring Branch location – is the brand’s 100th opening. By the end of 2020, there will be eight Blink locations in the Houston area.
“Opening our first two gyms in Houston is just the beginning of our presence here in the market, as well as our continued growth, nationally,” said Todd Magazine, CEO. “A growing and diverse population brought us to Houston, where we plan to add 225 jobs to the local economy.”
Magazine continued: “We look forward to bringing our affordable, inclusive approach to health and wellness to Houston. We’re eager to enter the market and excited to establish a substantial footprint early on.”
All the new gyms will offer memberships starting at just $15, and personal training sessions will be offered on an ongoing basis, starting at $30.
According to the brand, the average unit performance of a Blink Fitness gym sits at $1.94m, and the average membership is 6,305 gym-goers. The development cost for a new franchise site varies from $607,000 to $2.2m, with a franchise fee of $10,000.
