Aramex Australia, previously Fastway Couriers before it was acquired by Aramex, has announced the upcoming launch of its Courier Lite franchisee model; a streamlined entry point to business ownership, which provides the tools to scale up quickly without the need for a high investment in infrastructure.

This new model comes as a result of Amarex experiencing a 48 per cent increase in delivery in 2020, when compared to the same period last year.

As part of the new model, a Courier Lite franchisee will focus on high demand areas and only collect parcels from the home depot once per day, freeing up time for traditional Courier franchisees to nurture relationships with existing customers and cultivate new business.

Courier Lite drivers will share the same uniform and vans as traditional Courier franchisees, with low start-up costs creating an entry-level opportunity into the wider Aramex Australia network.

“Online shopping has been booming in Australia in recent years, and the current restrictions have turbocharged this growth. We expect this to continue in coming months and years,” said Peter Lipinski, Aramex Australia’s CEO. “The simplicity of this delivery model is innovation, as it creates more time for our traditional Courier franchisees to focus on pick-ups which are the most profitable part of their business and more guarantees for our customers that we will deliver a positive customer experience, as well as creating a significant opportunity for the new Courier Lite franchisees.

“All this happens without the need to invest in costly additional infrastructure. By a simple change to the delivery cycles, we are able to tick a lot of boxes for our Courier franchisees, our customers, and our new Courier Lite franchisees.”

To date, Aramex Australia’s network is comprised of over 800 independently owned and operated small businesses; offering international shipping through its Aramex membership to over 220 countries.
