This new location will be the first Holiday Inn in Southern India.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the hotel franchisor that franchises, leases, manages, and owns more than 5,900 locations in over 100 countries, is adding to its Indian portfolio with a new opening in the state of Karnataka.
Holiday Inn Resort Sakleshpur Western Ghats will open its doors to the public in Q3 2023, and will offer 126 rooms in close proximity to Bengaluru; making the site a perfect location for leisure travelers to spent time amidst India’s natural beauty and historic monuments.
“We are thrilled to announce the signing of our first Holiday Inn Resort in Southern India, in partnership with Riteway and Medha Projects,” said Sudeep Jain, MD South West Asia, IHG. “The signing is testament to the confidence our owners and partners hold in IHG, despite the current impact of the global pandemic on our industry. In the last three months, we have not only signed more hotels but with the easing of restrictions, we have also opened existing and new properties in India to offer safe and reliable experiences that guests are looking for at this time.”
This is the second Indian Holiday Inn expansion announced in the month of August, with news of the brand’s growth into Gurugram being released only weeks ago. To date, IHG has 36 hotels in operation across India, with an additional 43 in the current pipeline.
