The barbecue franchise has opened its second location in Tokyo, Japan.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has just opened its second Tokyo-based location in Yoyogi, near the Shibuya district after opening the first in the Kamiosaki District in Shinagawa-ku in May, 2021.
The new location will be approximately 602 sq. ft with limited dining, carry out and delivery options. Dickey’s has partnered up with Sunsheng (Jason) Lin, the owner of Barbecue Franchise Company (JBFC) Co. LTD.
“We are thrilled for the second Dickey’s Japan restaurant to open,” said Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Capital Group.
“Working with Jason enables us to continue driving our international expansion efforts and rapidly grow as the world’s largest barbecue concept.”
Dickey’s has lofty ambitions for Japan, with a third location on the horizon. The brand aims to be present in every single Japanese city.
In addition to its new Japanese location, the brand has also opened restaurants in Brazil, Pakistan, Singapore and the UAE. This marks a strong period of international growth for the brand after it recently announced a deal to expand the brand into Botswana. Dickey’s also continues to grow domestically too after it recently signed a deal in the Northwest to bring 48 locations to the region over the next five years.
Dickey’s was founded in 1941 by Travis Dickey and has since grown to over 550 locations across the world.
