Entries are now open for the Global Franchise Awards 2022, and there’s already been an explosion of interest, with many brands nominating their concepts for recognition in this year’s installment. But who’ll be deciding who comes out on top this time round?

To find out, let’s meet this year’s prestigious judging panel for the Global Franchise Awards 2022 – the familiar faces that you’ll need to impress to be in with the chance of taking home a coveted Global Franchise Awards trophy.

Pip Wilkins — CEO, British Franchise Association

With 20 years’ experience in the franchise sector, Pip represents the U.K. at both the European Franchise Federation and World Franchise Council. The bfa has grown to be one of the largest franchise associations in Europe, and one of the most successful associations in the world.

Dr. Ljiljana Kukec — President, Croatian Franchise Association

Dr. Ljiljana Kukec, has a Ph.D. in Franchising and has taught at several European Universities. As a franchise expert and the president of the Croatian franchise association, vice president of the Franchise Center/Croatian Chamber of Economy, board of directors’ member of the European Franchise Federation, and member of the World Franchise Council, she is often a guest lecturer at various business schools, conferences and events worldwide.

Andrew Brattesani — Head of franchising, HSBC UK

Andrew Brettesani has held a number of managerial roles within HSBC, including his last role as senior area commercial director, leading the largest commercial banking team in the U.K. out of HSBC Headquarters in Canary Wharf with a portfolio of some 4,000 SME clients.

Jennifer Brandeen — Chief revenue officer, International Franchise Association

Jennifer Brandeen joined the International Franchise Association (IFA) as the Chief Revenue Officer in November 2019. Prior to joining the IFA, Jennifer served in a variety of roles ranging from sales and marketing to finance and consulting, most recently leading strategy and business development for Sylvan Learning.

Farrah Rose — Head of international development, The Franchising Centre

Farrah has unrivaled experience in international franchising, and has been operating in this field since 1984. At The Franchising Centre, she works alongside a group of development experts to help brands reach their true international potential.

Alisdair Gray — CEO, European Franchise Federation

Alisdair was appointed executive director of the European Franchise Federation in 2021. Based in Brussels since 1997, he has advised companies and trade associations on political campaigns and engagement in both the U.K. and E.U. legislative environments.

Pertunia Sibanyoni — Chairperson, Franchise Association of South Africa

Pertunia Sibanyoni was appointed as the new chairperson of FASA for 2021/2022 effective March 2021. She has 17 years’ experience in franchising, 12 of them spent in the oil and energy sectors with Shell and currently four in the automotive and financial services as the CEO of InspectaCar (Pty) Limited, the only used car franchised business owned by WesBank.

Callum Floyd — Managing director, Franchize Consultants and long-term board member, Franchise Association of New Zealand

Callum has more than 25 years of experience in franchising, commencing with Masters of Commerce and PhD theses in researching franchising. Franchize Consultants is New Zealand’s leading company supporting new and established franchisors with franchise strategy, structure and management consulting, training and research.

Kay Ainsley — Managing director, MSA Worldwide

Kay provides franchise feasibility assessment and franchise program development, structure, and strategy that enable clients to meet their objectives. She also provides valuable expertise to established franchisors on system expansion, enhancing franchisee performance, franchise relations, profitability, system compliance, and effectively instituting change.
