Brazil’s largest city will be home to a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, the first of 110 across the country.
The barbecue franchise has opened another international location, this time in Sao Paulo, following its recent openings in Japan, Pakistan and future locations in Bostwana. The city of 12 million, Brazil’s largest, will have a new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit.
The new location will be owned and operated by partners Bruno Gallucci and Cyro Pires Xavier. The partners have extensive entrepreneurial experience and over a decade of experience in restaurant operations and agricultural production. The partners have full franchising rights for Brazil and are expected to open 110 locations across Brazil.
“We are very excited to show the people of Brazil the wonderful Texas Barbecue, this is unlike anything they have tried before. We are located in the heart of the city with plenty of foot traffic and many businesses,” says Galucci.
“We put so much effort into our flagship location we are really looking forward to showing it off and of course enjoying the delicious barbecue.”
The new location will be on the busy Paulista Avenue, one of the most important roads in the city. The owners are planning to give away free ice cream and dessert for the first few days to celebrate the opening. The unit was planned to open last year, however was delayed due to COVID-19. The owners will install a roof-top bar to complement the restaurant.
“We are so happy to welcome Bruno and Cyro to the Dickey’s family, they have a beautiful location and the public seems eager to try Legit Texas Barbecue,” says Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Capital Group.
Dickey’s was founded in 1941 by Travis Dickey and has since grown to over 550 locations across the world.
