The brand has signed four multi-unit development deals in Georgia, Maryland, South Carolina and Rhode Island.
Checkers Drive-In Restaurants has announced the signing of four multi-unit development deals in four states, and is on the hunt for more franchisees in the states of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York to fuel East Coast expansion.
The brand has signed a deal for six units in Rhode Island, marking it as the 26th state the franchise has opened a location in. Checkers & Rally’s has signed a five-unit deal in Georgia, a five-unit deal in Mayland and a five-unit deal in South Carolina. This follows on from a sizeable 15-unit agreement the brand signed in California last month.
Checkers & Rally’s continues to expand throughout the U.S. by offering small real estate footprints, double drive-thrus, no interior dining, walk-up windows and e-commerce lanes, all with the aim of being cost-effective. E-commerce lanes are a recent introduction and for delivery drivers and guests who order ahead.
“We are seeing rapid growth on the East Coast, and we are excited to partner with franchisees looking to capitalize on the opportunity we are experiencing in these markets. Demand for our drive-thru and delivery-focused model continues to grow,” said Kristen McDonald, vice president of development at Checkers & Rally’s.
“We are thrilled to officially open in Rhode Island, and welcome our new partners to the Checkers & Rally’s family. We look forward to working closely with them and all of our East Coast franchisees to help deliver an iconic experience to the communities they serve and ensure their overall success.”
