The Twin Peaks restaurant has made its debut in Cancun in December 2022, making it the first Mexico-based location that is outside of the Mexico City area.
The opening of the franchise in Cancun marks the second international location that Twin Peaks has opened in 2022, with the Coapa borough of Mexico City getting its lodge in January of last year.
Twin Peaks has four locations in Mexico with a fifth scheduled to open in the Encuentro Oceania shopping mall in the Venustiano Carranza borough of Mexico City in March 2023. The company’s expansion will continue in Mexico and further into Latin America, as there are plans to open 32 lodges south of the United States border.
“Our expansion into México has been an unequivocable success because we’ve found great franchise partners as well as the warm and hospitable people of this welcoming country,” said Twin Peaks CEO, Joe Hummel. “Cancun is hot – with the weather and tourism – so we knew this would be the ideal place to open another Twin Peaks. Locals and visitors will feel right at home with our scratch-made food, impeccable service from the Twin Peaks Girls and la cerveza más fria de México!”
Twin Peaks Cancun will feature a 360-degree bar, more than 50 TVs situated at every possible angle, and two patios. This will give sports fans plenty of vantage points to take in the action as they dine on restaurant favorites and order drinks from the bar.
The kitchen will continue to serve food and live up to its Spanish nickname of ‘cocina desde cero’, meaning food cooked from scratch, with flatbreads featuring gourmet toppings on in-house rolled dough as well as a hand-trimmed New York Strip Steak and its famous smashed and seared burgers.
The franchise offers ‘la cerveza más fria de México’, the coldest beer in Mexico at -2 degrees celsius, and there will also be 16 beers on tap – from México, the United States and other Latin American countries – as well as a variety of tequila, mezcal, whiskey and bourbon to mix as cocktails, serve over ice or shoot with friends at the bar.
