Content Partnership*
The Helen Doron Educational Group (HDEG) creates customizable pedagogic programs for children of all ages, from infancy to late adolescence. As a brand with over 37 years of experience under its belt, HDEG ensures that every market in which it operates can prosper under the guidance and support of a global family of pedagogic experts and business professionals. Over the decades, the network has perpetually grown and evolved into an elaborate franchise, collaborating with esteemed partners along the way.
One such partnership has brought the leading educational group to the shores of the United States. By collaborating with Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) of Connecticut, the global franchise’s unique methodology has extended its offerings into the bilingual world of Spanish and English. The new initiative, named ACES at Helen Doron Academy, encourages a lifelong love of learning, helping each child reach their potential through a pioneering curriculum that brings children a multisensory, musical education. The full-day kindergarten syllabus includes Spanish courses, reading and writing in English, science, multilingualism through song (in seven languages), fitness through yoga, Pilates, dance, taught in Spanish and English.
The children’s education franchise works tirelessly to improve the lives of children, knowing that children who start ahead stay ahead. Classes provide much more than language acquisition: essential life values are also incorporated into every lesson, including respect for all living creatures, giving back to our communities, leadership skills, and much more. Through the unprecedented, content-rich curriculum and value-laden lessons, Helen Doron learning centers and academies provide children with a well-rounded educational experience that focuses as much on giving the children joyful experiences as it does on educating them. The exceptional methodology focuses on absorbing knowledge naturally and easily, with proven results across 40 countries over 37 years.
With the signing of a new deal with ACES, Helen Doron academies can now begin to expand into the competitive American market with a long-established, successful curriculum and teaching methods. “Helen has developed wonderful learning experiences for young children across the globe. We at ACES can’t wait to spread it in the United States,” said Tom Danehy, executive director of ACES.
Entering the American market
The global children’s education brand already has a strong international presence with a staggering 1,110 units in 40 countries, making it one of the largest franchise education networks in the world. ACES is the regional education service center for New Haven and Middlesex counties. It provides an array of educational programs, services, and schools to meet the varying needs of the local educational landscape.
As a result, Helen Doron saw ACES as its ideal partner to enter the U.S. market, opening the door for additional partners to expand throughout the rest of the country. In September 2022, the doors of the first ACES at Helen Doron Academy, out of multiple academies, will open and will offer bilingual Spanish and English education, in addition to the brand’s usual kindergarten curricular offering. Highly trained teachers who understand the importance of early bilingualism will be teaching using the successful and effective methodology and unprecedented materials the franchise has become known for worldwide. Spanish was chosen as it is spoken in 22 countries, opening an additional door to opportunities for native English-speaking children who can grow up communicating with a myriad of cultures.
Why enrolling at a Helen Doron academy preschool leads to lifelong results
Providing children with stimulating educational content across multiple languages delivers lasting benefits. The brand has optimized its lessons and methodology over 37 successful years, and aims to instill a love of learning. This is the model by which Helen Doron classes operate, and it has led to positive lifelong learning for children who grew up benefitting from the groundbreaking methodology.
Many concepts are reinforced through original, carefully written, and fun songs at Helen Doron academies. By placing the concept and vocabulary straight into long-term memory, scientific findings demonstrate how stimulating music and song accelerate brain development, creating new neural pathways and setting the foundation for lifetime cognitive abilities. This makes learning new languages, mathematical concepts, and literacy easier and more fun. Learning multiple languages can provide many apparent benefits: increasing cultural tolerance, boosting the brain to learn new concepts, and opening opportunities to freely communicate with people across many countries and cultures.
Children learn best through multisensory input, which is why the award-winning children’s education franchise uses animations, props, games, tools, and multimedia to make learning fun and memorable. Children are also encouraged to learn by example, develop leadership skills, solve problems by themselves, and develop the critical thinking skills that will be needed throughout their lives. Teachers go through rigorous, ongoing training, monitored for the Golden Standard in teaching.
At Helen Doron Academies, learning is fun and exciting, so learning multiple languages and science becomes easy and natural. Every child has the opportunity to develop at their own pace, getting the personal attention they deserve and the positive reinforcement that helps them thrive and build self-esteem. The younger the child, the easier it is to learn any number of languages, with regular and systematic exposure to the language. In fact, the earlier the immersion in a second language, the better the grasp of grammar the child will have as an adult.
Even physical development in Spanish is taught through a unique program called ‘Ready, Steady, Move!’. The brand firmly believes ‘an active body is a learning body,’ increasing knowledge absorption through song and dance, yoga, and Pilates. This is because movement and touch together with speaking, hearing, and seeing are the main ways in which children gain knowledge and learn new concepts.
Helen Doron concludes: “After a long journey, I am excited that we have been able to find our ideal partners in the U.S. market; partners who share our same goals and values. Helen Doron and ACES aim to improve and change the lives of millions of children in the United States through quality education, innovation, and leadership. The two companies will work hand-in-hand to meet the goals and objectives set to provide pedagogical excellence to as many children as possible.”
