This September, we’re humbled to be celebrating 10 years of Springboard! As so many of you already know, there is truly no comparable event for emerging and re-emerging franchisors. We know the caliber of content you’ve come to expect from our events, and the 10th anniversary will not disappoint. Nowhere else will you find this unique combination of education and networking.
This year’s Springboard chair, Shane Evans, CEO and founder of Massage Heights, has overseen our content to ensure we are bringing you the most relevant and novel programming. We recognize that 2022 has presented unique challenges for emerging franchisors. The layering of inflation, supply chain delays, labor shortages, rising interest rates and global turmoil all change the playing field.
With that in mind, our SpringboardX sessions will focus on present-day, real-time experiences from our Springboard family. In true Springboard fashion, all our speakers have been asked to share any predictions for the future along with their strategy to grow through these obstacles.
What can attendees expect to find at the event?
SpringboardX will mark the launch of our unprecedented transacting founder roundtable session. In this session, emerging founders will have the opportunity to sit down and speak directly with founders who have sold their companies, as well as private equity and banking executives. This is an opportunity unlike any other for attendees to learn first-hand about capital, the impetus for transactions, selecting a partner, organizing your affairs, and what to expect through integration and ongoing operations.
SpringboardU: Get back to basics with Springboard 101. These sessions will focus broadly on development, operations, franchise relations and digital marketing. Begin each day with these foundational concepts before breaking out into more niche content with our workshops. Workshops: These interactive, panel-led workshops will focus on a variety of topics such as lead generation and development, franchisee financing, marketing, brand differentiation, sales compliance, dealing with defaults, company culture, selling multi-unit deals, preparing for acquisitions and more. No stone will be left unturned.
Learn from the best at this year’s Springboard event
We’re thrilled to welcome Don Fox, CEO of Firehouse Subs, as our 2022 keynote speaker. A 48-year veteran in the restaurant business, Don has spent the past 19 years with Firehouse Subs. Under his leadership, the brand has grown to over 1,200 restaurants. Don will share his views on the evolution of the consumer and the future of the restaurant industry.
Other mainstage speakers include: Dan Monaghan, managing partner of Clear Summit Group, and resident expert on the impact of technology on the future of franchising. Dan will discuss how to protect your intellectual property in an increasingly virtual landscape by looking at real-world case studies of leading franchisors.
David Barr, partner at FranWorth, will chair a working session where attendees will work in small groups to identify and troubleshoot the obstacles that prevent most brands from reaching 100 units.
Brian Kahn, CEO of FranchiseGRP, will share his view of the macro retail environment and the issues retailers are currently facing, including supply chain, the work force, COVID-19, consumer economic pressures and more.
