The Aussie fitness concept has exponential growth on the horizon.
Body Fit Training (BFT) has plans to open 50 new studios throughout Australia over the next three months, with more than 100 studio openings in 2021, Australian Leisure has reported.
To date, the fitness franchise has 68 locations open across Australia, as well as New Zealand, Singapore, and the U.S. Since launching in 2017, the brand has sold 180 franchises globally.
“We have only seen a very minor franchise sales impact at the start of COVID, but since June we’ve returned to pre-COVID sales levels and easily surpassed these,” said Richard Burnet, joint chief executive. “We have now sold over 180 franchises – with 68 open, and the growth of the business is continuing to increase.
“2021 will be significant for us as we plan to open over 100 studios in Australia alone. Additionally, we have very successful flagship studios in New Zealand, Singapore, and the U.S.A. which will allow us to rapidly expand into those markets in particular.”
BFT’s group fitness offering is based off of founder Cameron Falloon’s unique methodology, and combines cardio with resistance programs to train different energy systems every day.
“Our unique offering is driving our member demand, and in turn demand from franchisees who understand why we’re different from other fitness offerings,” said Falloon. “Increasingly it’s our true strength training days members are really enjoying. They love the cardio days, but really love the strength difference that BFT brings.”
