The family entertainment franchisor is strengthening its Central American footprint.
Chuck E. Cheese has opened its first location in El Salvador, continuing a push for an increased international presence over the coming years.
The new site is located in the Multiplaza Mall in San Salvador, El Salvador, and opened on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. This site adds to over fifty locations across the Latin America region.
“Chuck E. Cheese is thrilled to bring our signature fun and games to the El Salvador community,” said Arun Barnes, COO and SVP of international, Chuck E. Cheese. “Expanding deeper into Central America is an exciting step for the brand, as part of a larger international plan to bring a safe and fun environment ‘where a kid can be a kid’ to families worldwide.”
Chuck E. Cheese currently operates in multiple other international markets, including Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Canada, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Panama, Colombia, Guatemala, United Arab Emirates, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Jordan, and India. It plans to announce further international sites in the coming months.
This development comes after Chuck. E Cheese relaunched its franchise development website, and the organization plans to increase the headcount at its Dallas headquarters to keep up with international growth.
The brand currently operates 570 Chuck. E Cheese restaurants, consisting of a combination of company-owned and franchised stores. Over the coming years, it plans to open at least 100 new locations.
