Cinnaholic, a gourmet vegan bakery brand founded in Berkeley, California, is coming off the back of a developmental 2020 that has set it up for exponential growth in the coming months.

Last year, Cinnaholic signed agreements for franchise locations across 20 markets, including Ann Arbor, Portland, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Phoenix. Since June 2020, it has also opened new sites in markets including Raleigh, North Carolina; Chicago; San Antonio; Baltimore, Maryland; Birmingham, Alabama; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Little Rock, Arkansas and Tyler, Texas.

Also in 2020, Cinnaholic purchased a technology-advanced online pick-up and third-party delivery ordering platform, and closed out the year with an overall system growth of 29 per cent.

“Our franchise model has proven successful time and time again,” said Spencer Reid, president of Cinnaholic. “Amid the pandemic, our existing franchisees were able to continue operations without temporarily closing their doors. We’ve closed an extremely successful year in terms of franchise sales and are excited to continue the momentum as we look to excel growth in 2021!”

This year, Cinnaholic is looking for qualified single- and multi-unit investors to expand into markets such as Austin, New York City, Boston, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Nashville.

Setting itself apart as a ‘better-for-you’ offering, Cinnaholic’s menu uses plant-based ingredients and a variety of frosting and topping options to make each customer’s experience unique.
