The new units will be developed as part of a 50-store franchise deal in this untapped market.
FAT Brands Inc., the parent company of Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express – as well as seven other restaurant concepts – has signed a 50-unit development deal with Red Rombo Group SA de CV. to bring co-branded Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express locations to Mexico.
The first of these will open in Mexico City, with three co-branded sites set to open by the end of this year.
“We’re excited to bring the popularity of Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express to Mexico, where the fast casual market is growing steadily year after year,” said FAT Brands CEO, Andy Wiederhorn. “The Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express model has been well received on an international level with recent growth in Singapore and France. We are always looking to continue to expand our footprint throughout the world and are eager to bring our burgers and wings to Mexico and other countries.”
The Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express co-brand model has opened in 14 countries including Mexico, and over 70 per cent of Fatburger locations are now co-branded with Buffalo’s Express.
