Memphis-based ribs and barbecue franchise Corky’s has signed a franchise agreement with Squealing Pigs LLC to open up to 17 locations in Houston and Dallas. Three locations are planned to open in Houston this year.
Andria Cain, Corky’s franchisee and partner of Squealing Pigs LLC said, “Texans love barbecue, and we are excited to introduce them to the world-famous Memphis style of Corky’s.”
Corky’s was opened by Don Pelts nearly 35 years ago and is still owned and operated by the Pelts and Woodman families. The business now has four restaurants in East Memphis, two outlets inside Memphis Kroger locations and four franchise outlets outside of Memphis.
