Showcasing exceptional design and forward-thinking spaces, the hotel franchise is redefining traveling for work.
Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts – a brand owned by international hotel franchising titan, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) – recently unveiled the Crowne Plaza Hamburg – City Alster, which displays the brand’s new concepts that position it as the go-to for professionals travelling to the German city.
While the hotel brand has several locations throughout Germany (and countless others worldwide), the new Hamburg location is the first for the city, and its design innovations position it as a first-of-its-kind experience offered by Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts; alongside the other new European location, the Crowne Plaza Paris-Republique.
Key features that put this flagship location in a league of its own include the ‘Plaza Workspace’ public spaces, and the ‘WorkLife’ guest rooms, which have been designed to deliver an improved layout for travellers looking for something to cater to their business needs, as well as a space to relax.
The Plaza Workspace is an appealing business hub that rivals even the most bespoke facilities. As well as the abundance of power outlets, high-speed WiFi, and varied food and drink options, this area offers two bookable meeting and event spaces that can be used for almost anything – from a seminar, to a yoga workshop.
These new locations add to the vast IHG franchise portfolio, which consists of more than 5,800 hotels in more than 100 countries.
“Business is changing, attitudes towards work trips are changing, and how people manage their work-life balance is changing,” said Natalie Perez, head of Crowne Plaza Brand at IHG. “Crowne Plaza Hamburg – City Alster provides a flexible environment for anyone who wants to work on a mobile basis. By making our spaces open to all, we become a part of the fabric of the community.”
