The hot chicken franchisor has signed a multi-unit deal in Florida for 15 locations.
Dave’s Hot Chicken has signed a multi-unit agreement to bring 15 new locations to Orlando, Florida. The deal has been signed with multi-unit operators Scott Strahm and George Estep to open in Orange, Seminole, Lake, Osceola and Brevard Counties. These will be the first Dave’s Hot Chicken locations to open in the state.
“I am thrilled to bring on such experienced operators like Scott and George to Dave’s Hot Chicken. Talented individuals like them are exactly who we want to grow the brand,” said Bill Phelps, CEO of Dave’s Hot Chicken.
“I can’t wait for the first Dave’s Hot Chicken to open in the Sunshine State.”
Dave’s Hot Chicken was founded in 2017 by Dave Kopushyan and three friends. The brand started as a parking-lot pop-up, but has expanded significantly since then.
“Florida, and specifically Orlando, is important for us in our growth, making it vital that we bring on a qualified operator to lead our entrance into the market,” said Shannon Swenson, vice president of franchise development at Dave’s Hot Chicken.
“Scott and George hit all the marks that we’re looking for, and I anticipate great success for them.”
The brand has been inking deals across the U.S. this year, with previous multi-unit deals signed for eight locations in Florida and a further 28 in Indiana and Ohio.
