Magic Brands Group will open its first Denny’s in the Welsh town of Swansea, following a funding deal with HSBC. Further diners will open over the next three years. The new diner will be located at Parc Tawe retail and leisure park.
Leon Esfahani, managing director of Magic Brands Corp, said: “I’ve banked with HSBC for five years, and they have always provided me with the funding needed to realise my ambitions. This latest venture is no exception and I’m incredibly excited to be opening the UK’s first Denny’s with the bank’s backing, as well as creating a large number of jobs for people in Swansea and the surrounding areas.”
Warren Lewis, head of corporate banking in South Wales, said: “HSBC has extensive franchise experience and the team here in South Wales worked closely with our dedicated franchise team to put together a flexible and competitive finance package, which has enabled Leon to open his first Denny’s franchise diner in Swansea. We are very proud and excited to be involved in bringing this major US brand to the UK for the first time, and we look forward to continuing our work with Leon as he grows the business in the coming years.”
