With its sixth international location, Dickey’s brings the American, Texas barbecue style concept to Lahore, Pakistan.
After an announcement in February last year, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has signed its first master franchise deal with Azam Bhatti and Mazhar Zaidi from the A.J. Corporation.
“We are so proud to be expanding internationally and offer slow-smoked meats and sausages in Pakistan,” said Roland Dickey Jr. chief executive officer of Dickey’s Capital Group.
This marks Dickey’s sixth international location, after opening in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in 2018.
“Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is proud of the work Mazhar Ziadi, our master partner in Pakistan has done to drive the opening of our first location in Pakistan, Islamabad,” said Jim Perkins, executive vice president of international sales and support for Dickey’s Barbecue Pit.
“Under normal conditions opening a first location in a distant land is based on commitment and teamwork. Mazhar and his team forged forward under extreme COVID-19 conditions and opens our Flagship store in Pakistan. I am proud of him, his team, and Dickey’s regional manager in Dubai, Mansoor Saeed who made this available to the guests in Pakistan,” added Perkins.
A.J. Corporation has full franchising rights for the entirety of Pakistan, with the prospect of opening twenty locations over the course of the next ten years.
“We have a love for barbecue, because of its unique taste and we are excited to introduce Pakistan to Dickey’s Legit. Texas. Barbecue.,” said Azam Bhatti, founder of the A.J. Corporation.
