The international barbeque brand is diversifying its availability through this new venture.
Dickey’s Barbeque Pit has announced its partnership with Homeland, the Oklahoma-based grocery chain, which will see the BBQ brand’s selection of fan-favorite beans be available to purchase from any of the grocery stores’ 75 locations.
This is in addition to the 2,500 other retail points that Dickey’s products can be purchased from, including Walmart, Albertson’s, and Lowes Foods.
The brand’s push for a strong retail presence could be a sign of the times for food and beverage franchise brands, as an altered dine-in experience in restaurants worldwide has necessitated other avenues for generating revenue.
“Our family believes the best memories are made when you’re surrounded by good food and the ones you love,” said Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Capital Group. “We are excited to partner with Homeland to bring more of our third-generation family recipes to dining tables everywhere.”
Since bringing its beans to the market, Dickey’s has sold over 300,000 cans, as well as its selection of spices, rubs, sauces, and other enjoy-at-home goods. In Homeland stores, customers will be able to purchase Dickey’s Original Barbecue Beans, Jalapeno Barbecue Beans, Brown Sugar Hickory Beans, and Sweet Molasses Beans.
