The award-winning pet care franchise is experiencing exponential demand, and is bringing on new team members to keep up.
Dogtopia, the pet care franchise with almost 150 locations throughout the U.S., is taking stock of an already successful 2020 as the brand announces that it has awarded 36 new franchise licenses this year alone.
Along with these new sales, Dogtopia has opened 14 new locations in 2020, with a further nine planned to welcome pets and their owners by October. These new sites will debut in previously undeveloped markets such as Washington D.C., and Connecticut.
Dogtopia also began the year in a celebratory fashion, when it won the Best Lifestyle Franchise accolade at the Global Franchise Awards 2020.
“Whether they’ve adopted a new puppy or have been trying to focus while working from home, now more than ever, pet parents are realizing the importance of dog daycare,” said Neil Gill, CEO and president of Dogtopia. “That paired with Dogtopia being deemed an essential service and our thoughtful, thorough safety protocols have helped us thrive and spurred our growth. We plan to keep providing the best care possible to each dog we look after even as 2020 continues to throw challenges everyone’s way.”
Due to being considered an essential service in most states, Dogtopia has continued operating these past few months and has introduced several safety measures to keep both pet parents and their dogs as safe and protected as possible. These include curbside drop off and pickup, required masks and wellness checks, and in some locations, a UV light system.
As a result of these adaptations and ongoing successful operations, Dogtopia’s NPS score has climbed from 88 to 94 over the course of the past few months.
