One of America’s largest premium pizza franchises is entering a new market as part of the considerable deal.
Fazoli’s is something of a staple of the U.S.’s QSR scene, having nearly 220 restaurants in 28 states. The Lexington-based brand is set to add a handful more locations to its healthy portfolio, with its latest area development agreement bringing five restaurants to Tampa, Florida.
The agreement, made in partnership with experienced franchisee Carlos L. Saenz, will see the new locations developed in the Hillsborough and Pascao counties in early 2021. Saenz currently owns two Dairy Queens, and visited Fazoli’s as a guest many years ago – an experience that stuck with him, and prompted his shift from patron to franchisee.
“When I dined at Fazoli’s, I experienced something different than any other restaurant concept,” said Saenz. “It’s difficult to describe perfection, but when you’re in it, you recognize it. I was surrounded by excellent tableside service and delicious food, plus unlimited breadsticks. The brand’s commitment to quality and excellence was very evident to me. Tampa is missing an Italian place like this, and guests are going to love it.”
Fazoli’s is a notoriously franchise-friendly brand, and is eager to find other experienced entrepreneurs who want to transitions from fans to partners of the brand. As part of an incentive program, the brand is guaranteeing savings of at least $125,000 for multi-unit operators who develop at least three locations – a number that climbs to $200,000 for partners who develop more than five.
“I went to a Fazoli’s national brand conference, and the energy and support from one another was inspiring,” continued Saenz. “It was a great place with great people. I also received rave reviews from other franchisees who said they have had an incredible experience owning a Fazoli’s, which got me very excited. I see a bright future with this brand.”
