FAT Brands, the parent company of Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express has announced the expansion of two of its brands into Florida. The franchisor has signed a 10-unit agreement with Whole Factor Inc.
Both brands are on track to open their Orlando locations over the next six years, and this marks a significant step for the Buffalo’s Express brand. It had previously been concentrated on the West Coast, but is now diversifying the brand’s locations.
“While FAT Brands has had a presence in Florida for some time through our other concepts such as Hurricane Grill & Wings, we see great opportunity in bringing our other restaurants to the state such as Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express,” said Andy Wiederhorn, CEO of FAT Brands.
“We look forward to opening our doors in Orlando and welcoming locals and tourists alike to experience our juicy, custom-built burgers and award-winning wings.
“FAT Brands has perfected the co-branded model, pairing Fatburger, Hollywood’s favorite burger, and Buffalo’s Express, a wing brand sought after for its great-tasting wings and house-made sauces,” said Gurjit and Spike Garcha of Whole Factor Inc.
“We can’t wait to see the reception the brands receive in Orlando as we begin to roll-out locations.”
FAT Brands is starting 2022 with the same fervor it ended 2021 with. In mid-December, the franchisor acquired Native Grill & Wings for $20m alongside numerous acquisitions earlier in the year. It’s also focused on expanding Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express, evidenced by the deal to bring 25 units of both brands to Illinois.
