The leading international franchise media brand is continuing to broaden its global network of associations.

Following recent partnerships with the Israel Franchise Institute, the Hungarian Franchise Association, and the International Franchise Association, Global Franchise has now partnered with the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) to include yet another valuable voice and source of informed domestic expertise for it’s global audience.

Australia’s franchise market is valued at around $184bn, and comprises 1,344 brands employing more than 598,000 people.

The FCA has been lead by CEO Mary Aldred since her appointment in April 2018, and strives to make franchising as accessible as possible for Aussie entrepreneurs – helped in part by groups like the FCA Franchisee Advisory Committee which provides insights into the day to day operational challenges franchises face and allows the FCA to proactively advocate for the sector.

“We’re excited to welcome another world-leading franchise association to our partnership network of organizations,” said James Fell, editor of Global Franchise. “Through consistent ongoing collaboration with the FCA, we’re providing our loyal readership with up-to-the-minute, incisive, and dedicated reportage on franchise initiatives, challenges, and opportunities in the Australian market.”

Franchising in Australia was largely introduced in the early 1970s, when U.S. brands such as McDonald’s, KFC, and Hungry Jacks introduced their systems to the vibrant Australian market. Since then, the industry has grown to represent around 13 per cent of the country’s total GDP, and has proven a surefire path to success for domestic entrepreneurs, and international brands wanting to develop in a flourishing foreign market.

“We are pleased to partner with Global Franchise and to join their international franchise association content network. It means that the FCA can now provide direct input to all the Global Franchise media channels, including the dedicated international franchising news website, print magazines, regional reports, newsletters, podcasts, and more” said Mary Aldred.

“In addition to conveying information about franchise initiatives and opportunities in Australia to the rest of the franchising world, it will promote access to the Franchise Council of Australia to an international audience and we look forward to offering assistance to those seeking to enter Australia” said Ms Aldred.
