Goldfish Swim School Franchising has signed a multi-unit franchise agreement to bring five Goldfish Swim Schools to Nashville.
Behind the multi-unit agreement are husband and wife team, Lauren and Ryan Dukes (Channel Catfish, LLC), who live in Franklin, Tennessee, with their two daughters. Ryan and Lauren both previously worked in the corporate world for 10 years – Ryan in project management and Lauren in investor relations. They moved to middle Tennessee in 2019 to pursue franchise ownership and currently own two Urban Air Franchises.
The first Goldfish Swim School will open in 2022 with the following four opening over the next few years.
“We currently own and operate other businesses in the family entertainment space, and Goldfish Swim School stood out as the perfect complement with its top-tier experience in an unmatched environment and backed by a phenomenal organization and leadership team,” said Lauren. “We’ve always been drawn to businesses that cater to families and children, and we love the idea of educating children on water safety, plus, our daughter is a Goldfish student! We can’t wait to bring the schools to Nashville and the surrounding areas.”
Goldfish Swim School is on track to achieve its aggressive expansion goal to open 17 schools in 2022 as it continues to seek franchise partners in other key markets including California, Portland, Dallas and Canada.
“We have been eager to expand our presence in Tennessee for some time,” said Chris McCuiston, CEO and co-founder of Goldfish Swim School. “There’s an unwavering demand for high-quality swim lessons, and we’re thrilled to fill that need in Nashville with this multi-unit agreement. We’ve built an incredible team of like-minded franchisees who are a huge reason for our exponential growth and continued success, and we welcome the Dukes to the Goldfish family.”
Today, with around 130 locations open and more than 110 in development, the brand is on track for strategic franchise expansion across North America.
