Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii has announced the appointment of David Gladstone as its director of real estate and construction, and his inclusion into the leadership team. He joins the coffee brand with 30 years of experience at a time when the brand is growing rapidly and has added a number of store models it can offer to franchisees.
Through his 30-year career in restaurant development, he held various roles in construction, real estate and procurement for Starbucks, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Focus Brands, Noodles & Company, Jamba Juice, and Quiznos. Gladstone worked with numerous national construction companies during his tenure at Jamba Juice.
“Joining the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii team is a new challenge, and I couldn’t be more excited,” said Gladstone.
“Having worked with several quick service and coffee concepts, I know the industry well and what it takes to open locations effectively and efficiently. My goal is to ensure we are able to do so with every opening so franchisees are set up for ultimate success.”
Gladstone and his team will directly support franchisees on their path to construction of their location, from site selection to the construction itself. The real estate team is on hand to make sure construction goes ahead in an efficient and timely manner whilst maintaining brand identity and consistency. The brand has set aggressive expansion plans to open 150 new locations over the next five years.
