Island Poké has announced the appointment of Hux Norman as its new head of property to support the brand during an accelerated period of growth.
“We’re excited to welcome Hux to our Island Poké Ohana,” said James Gould-Porter, founder of Island Poké.
“I admire the work he has done with Loungers and his expertise will be a key asset in our growth plans as we look to bring Island Poké to more towns and cities up and down the country.”
Norman joins Island Poké from Loungers, a U.K. café, bar and restaurant operator. He was essential in supporting and facilitating its U.K. roll-out as the property manager. Island Poké is in the middle of a strong period of growth as the brand aims to open 100 locations across the U.K. within five years. Norman will play a pivotal role in securing the best locations as quickly as possible.
“It’s great to be joining Island Poké at such a key phase in its growth strategy,” said Norman.
“It is an incredible, fast-growing brand responding to modern consumer needs and I am really looking forward to bringing in my knowledge and experience to help the brand grow across the U.K. and beyond.”
Island Poké is a part of the Hero Brands group, which includes the likes of German Doner Kebab, Choppaluna, Sides, XIX Vodka and many more. The brand is also a part of the White Rabbit Projects group, a hospitality development platform that partners with early-stage restaurants and entrepreneurs to support and accelerate growth.
