McDonald’s Denmark is to open 20 new restaurants over the next five years. The company, which is owned by British investor Guy Hands, will make franchising part of the model for this expansion.
McDonalds currently has 88 locations in Denmark, while Scandinavia as a whole is home to over 400 Golden Arches outlets, serving around 170,000 customers daily.
McDonald’s Denmark CEO Joachim Knudsen said, “We receive positive feedback from our guests, so it is a great pleasure to be able to open 20 new restaurants. We are seeing general growth in Denmark, and are proud to play our part in creating 1,000 new jobs in both cities and provincial towns,”
