Successful franchise expansion into international markets can add prestige to a brand and have a positive impact on a company’s bottom line. However, achieving successful expansion requires proper planning, sufficient allocation of both financial and people resources, and a longterm commitment to building and supporting markets with different business and cultural requirements. Not all franchisors are able to achieve a high level of success. Those that do, contribute to the continued acceptance and effectiveness of franchising around the world.
MSA Worldwide is proud to have been invited to sponsor the Global Franchise Awards 2020 which recognizes those franchisors who have achieved success by developing and implementing strong franchise programs for international markets. We firmly believe in franchising as a business model and the value that it provides for the franchisor, the franchisee and the market as a whole.
We also believe that these awards are important, because by recognizing and rewarding those who make the investment to expand smartly and correctly we can raise the bar for international franchising. These awards will encourage others to follow the leaders and build or strengthen their own franchise programs, thus helping to protect the franchise model for all.
International expansion

Often, the support programs that have propelled a franchisor to success in their home market will not be adequate in a new market. We help them to tailor the changes in their product or service, supply chain requirements, marketing, promotion, public relations and social media programs, and to adapt to cultural and business norms.
