The science-backed fitness franchise is making waves in the health industry, after forming a partnership with one of the world’s leading body composition analyzers.
Orangetheory Fitness, the gym franchise that utilizes science to provide tangible results to its hundreds of thousands of members around the globe, has partnered with InBody to give gym-goers at its 1,300 international studios an even deeper understanding of how their hard work and motivation is paying off.
InBody’s analytical technology allows users to conduct a 15-second test, which will break down their precise body composition; including muscle mass, body fat percentage, and metabolic rate.
This is already on top of Orangetheory’s own heart rate and performance tracking offerings, which encourage customers to work out in the ‘Orange Zone’: a state where they’re using 84 to 91 per cent of their personalized maximum heart rate, and therefore keep burning calories for up to 36 hours after a customized 60-minute workout.
“We are excited to partner with Orangetheory Fitness because we believe in their mission to blend science and technology to inspire health and wellness,” said Harry Yun, CEO of InBody USA. “Orangetheory Fitness boasts an impressive list of interactive workout technology for their members, and adding the InBody Test will complement the heart rate and performance data to give members a complete picture that they can take advantage of to achieve results.”
The rollout of the new InBody Technology is already underway, and will continue throughout 2020 as Orangetheory Fitness expands to even more sites around the globe. As of writing, the brand operates throughout all 50 U.S. states, and over 23 countries.
“Member experience has been at the forefront of all that we do since the brand’s inception,” said Rachelle Reed, PhD and director of fitness science at Orangetheory Fitness. “Adding this layer of body composition technology throughout our network of over 1,300 studios will better arm our members to succeed in their fitness goals by focusing on results from the inside out.”
