The modest pizza franchise has global ambitions, and is teaming up with the franchising experts to fulfill them.
Pi Pizzeria, the award-winning pizza franchise currently operating in Washington D.C. and St. Louis, as well as six international locations in the Middle East, has partnered with Fransmart to accelerate its growth and target key development markets.
Fransmart has recently made deals with Slapfish, Cook’s Tortas, and Wolfnights. If a brand is looking to grow rapidly and strategically, then Fransmart appears to be the name it seeks out.
“Our upscale, yet approachable restaurants, most with full bars and large craft beer offerings, have driven Pi to be a go-to spot for families, date-nights, corporate events, and any guest looking for an elevated, memorable dining experience,” said Chris Sommers, owner of Pi Pizzeria. “Pi’s three award-winning crusts are undoubtedly a major differentiator, with flavor profiles that one just can’t find elsewhere.”
Opened on ‘Pi Day’ (March 14, 2008), Pi Pizzeria has since elevated itself to something of a cult classic among American foodies. In 2009, the brand had the distinct honor to be invited to the White House to cook for the First Family during the Obama presidency, which made Pi Pizzeria the first non-staff to prepare food at the Obama White House.
“Every day we see stories of old, tired casual dining chains closing or filing for bankruptcy, making room for high volume specialty full-service restaurants,” said Dan Rowe, CEO and founder of Fransmart. “Pi Pizzeria is the next evolution in full-service chains. This is going to be the next big neighborhood pizza bar.”
