The milestone site opened in Guadalajara, Jalisco; the same city where the first Mexican pizza hut opened 52 years ago.
Pizza Hut International has announced the opening of its 1,000th Fast Casual DelCo (FCD) location, in partnership with its franchising partner Food Delivery Brands (FDB).
This new location is situated in Guadalajara, Mexico, and is based in the same city where Pizza Hut International first launched in Mexico 52 years ago.
The brand began rolling out its FCD model in 2017, and it now operates in more than 80 countries around the world. It was initially launched to keep up with changing consumer expectations and provide customers with a modern on-premises experience, making it easy and safe to get their pizza whether they are eating in, carrying out, or ordering delivery.
“Every new concept, design, and innovation is driven by two core elements: our customer and their love of pizza and our team members and their passion for and ability to deliver on that love,” said Oscar Pelaez, global director concept innovation, Pizza Hut International. “How we bring that to market evolves based on culture, trends and societal norms and needs.”
This site marks the fifth new Mexican unit opened since Pizza Hut International made a concerted effort to transform the country’s locations beginning in 2019. In that time, it has also remodeled six locations and plans to add 30 new restaurants and hundreds of new jobs to the region by the end of 2021.

The new site is managed under the leadership of regional general manager William Gonzalez, and will employ 14 members of staff. Like all FCD models, the new location delivers technology integrations designed to enhance the overall customer experience including a contactless experience at the points of delivery and pick-up.
