The better-chicken concept will debut in Georgia as part of a wider 12-unit deal.
Opened on August 26, Slim Chickens’ new Georgia location can be found at 4311 Washington Road in Evans.
Partners Jim Bennett and Rusty Skalla from Peachtree Development & Investments have significant experience in single tenant commercial spaces, and especially in the restaurant industry. Bennett was initially exposed to the chicken brand when his clients were opening Slim Chickens locations across the Florida Panhandle and Southeast.
The partners have signed a deal to open the first Georgia location in Evans, with a further 11 units in the pipeline across Georgia and South Carolina.
“We chose to open our first Slim Chickens in Evans because it’s become one of the fastest-growing counties in the state,” said Bennett.
“It also has the hometown feel we were looking for to open our first location, where we can serve our delicious food to friendly people.”
The new Slim Chickens location in Evans will bring 75 jobs to the local community.
Since the brand’s founding in 2003, Slim Chickens has managed to open over 120 locations in 22 states, and is eyeing 600 by 2025.
