Slim Chickens has signed a 10-unit agreement in Dallas with Farouk Jamal and Ali Poonja of Slim Brothers. The Slim Brothers will bring the ten new restaurants to Colin and Denton Counties in Q4 of 2022.
“After connecting with franchise owners in the system and learning about their experience owning Slims, we knew we had to be a part of the chicken segment,” said Jamal.
“We’re excited to join an emerging brand that is growing rapidly, and we’re ready to hit the ground running.”
Jamal and Poonja are no strangers to the world of QSR franchising, and currently operate multiple Burger King locations. Before working with Burger King, the pair worked with a number of brands, from Subway to Dunkin.
“With over 20 years of franchise experience under their belts, we know that Slim Brothers is the perfect franchise group to grow Slims in Texas,” said Jackie Lobdell, vice president of franchise development at Slim Chickens.
“We’re excited to further expand our presence in Texas.”
It’s been a strong year for Slim Chickens, with numerous openings and agreements signed across multiple U.S. states such as Idaho, Iowa, Georgia, Ohio and Kentucky.
It’s not just stateside openings either, the brand has made significant investments into its U.K. presence and opened its 13th and 14th location on the other side of the Atlantic.
