The new locations come courtesy of a deal signed by the brand’s U.K. master franchisee.
Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG), Slim Chickens’ U.K. partner, has signed a franchise development agreement with KK Restaurants SW to open at least five new Slim Chickens restaurants in southwest England.
KK Restaurants SW is an established franchise operator, having worked on opening locations for brands like Pizza Hut Delivery and Costa Coffee in the region. The first location to stem from this agreement is due to open in Exeter in December 2020.
“We are pleased to have secured a franchise partner as experienced as KK Restaurants SW,” said Judd Williams, franchise director for BRG. “This supports our ambitious growth plans to roll-out the Slim Chickens brand across the U.K.”
The Exeter site will be the 10th Slim Chickens location in the U.K., following the brand’s largest opening at Manchester’s Trafford Centre earlier in November.
“Slim Chickens is a scalable brand with bags of potential and we are delighted to be partnering with BRG to bring better chicken to customers in the southwest,” said Simon Wright, director of KK Restaurants SW.
