The program, launched by franchise growth catalyst Angela Coté, involves cohorts of hand-selected, high-achieving franchisors looking for collaboration with fellow high-achieving franchisors, accountability, and includes high-level coaching from Coté herself.
Over the past few years, Coté noticed that large roundtables and free webinars didn’t offer the same level of camaraderie and results that a performance group could. By creating smaller groups, hand-selecting participants, and providing herself as a coach and resource, The Play Bigger Performance Groups offer a hybrid between a collaborative roundtable and hiring a business coach.
Coté boasts over 25 years of franchising experience, with time spent as a franchisor, franchisee, and a franchise advisor. Coté’s coaching style features a wealth of experiential knowledge, a focus on franchise development and franchisee profitability, and a signature attitude that “franchising can be fun”.
Coté grew up in the world of franchising. The daughter of Mac Voisin, founder of M&M Meat Shops, she helped grow the business to almost 500 franchised locations. She has seen firsthand the benefits of having a dedicated group of fellow business leaders in your corner to share business resources, collaboratively problem-solve, and, in the words of Jim Collins, hold you accountable in your “Big Hairy Audacious Goals”.
“One of my passions is bringing people together to leverage the collective wisdom and energy of the group,” explains Coté. “This collaborative opportunity is one of the big benefits for franchisees in a franchise system and I felt it was time to offer something similar for franchisors.”
