Zegami can bring structure to a franchise business’ data, making it comprehensible through dynamic interactive visualization
With headlines like “The world’s most valuable resource is no longer oil, but data” or “Data The New Gold?”, it is clear that the data economy needs a new approach, especially when it comes to understanding the vast amounts of data businesses have at their fingertips.
For a brand, the better its understanding of data, the better the business. And one way to achieve this is through a new approach to visualizing data. That is where augmented intelligence company Zegami comes in.
Spun out from Oxford University in 2016, Zegami spent its early years developing its proposition—helping businesses unlock their data potential through visual data exploration. Now with 35 clients, the data visualizer has case studies illustrating how its proposition works across all sectors—from the effectiveness of social media campaigns, Zegami’s powerful graphing and filtering tools can see what factors affect the reach of social media posts, to providing greater analysis of workforces through a dashboard-based software tool that allows HR professionals to conduct people analytics.
Samuel Conway, co-founder and CEO of Zegami, said: “Over the last few years Zegami has been developing a cutting edge visual data exploration platform to democratize data analytics, enabling people to make sense of the tsunami of data available today.
“Our focus is now on the commercialization of the software, working with commercial partners like LiveTiles and Microsoft to take the product to the world. By democratizing data, Zegami will enable people to realize the potential of data for their organization – whether it be commercial, academic or government”.
Show me the money
The global big data and business analytics market was valued at $169 billion in 2018, and it is expected to grow to $274 billion by 2022.
Developed at Oxford University, the Zegami platform takes complicated datasets, often only decipherable with complex models and expensive data scientists, and enables a whole organization’s workforce to be able to engage with data through visual data exploration. The platform allows users to easily filter, tag and sort data by presenting it in an intuitive, engaging way. Zegami’s analysis of organizations that have used its platform reveals that on average they save two hours per worker, per day when using effective visual search and analysis.
The brand has secured an additional £1.25 million in funding together with previous equity rounds and funding, Zegami is investing £4 million into democratizing data analysis using machine learning. This will enable businesses to bring structure to their data, making it immediately comprehensible to the human eye through dynamic interactive visualization. At the touch of a button, businesses would be able to augment and explore their data – documents, PDF, images, audio, maps and video – and see the results displayed visually on a single screen.
Franchise businesses could use Zegami’s visual data exploration platform to better understand and grow their business, potentially finding answers to those pressing questions: should you franchise your business? Is this country or region right for your brand? What is your customer profile? And more…
