Up to 105 Tim Horton’s outlets could open in NorthEast Ohio following Beachwood-based TH Cleveland LLC’s acquisition of a large part of the region’s franchise.
The brand has “ a really strong presence in Erie, Buffalo, Detroit and Columbus,” TH Cleveland president Jeff Linville told Crain’s Cleveland Business, but “we saw this big hole in the Cleveland-Akron area for the brand.”
The first new Tim Horton’s in the area will open at an as-yet undisclosed location, in May, 2018. Most new restaurants will be free-standing operations of between 16 and 33 seats, although some will be sited in shopping centers. Restaurants are likely to employ around 40 staff.
