Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Titus Center for Franchising has made history at the International Franchise Association (IFA) Convention 2022 alongside the other members of the Franchise Educators’ Consortium. The group, for the first time, exhibited together for the first time in its history as franchise educators.
The franchise education consortium was led by Titus Center’s Dr. John Hayes, Dr. Ben Litalien of Georgetown University, Dr. Kathleen Gosser of University of Louisville’s Yum! Global Center for Franchising and AB Ingram of Babson University’s Tariq Farid Franchise Center.
“All of the educators who participated in the convention are grateful to the IFA for allowing us to exhibit jointly. This was also a good way to show the franchise community what’s happening for franchise education in the U.S.,” said Dr. John Hayes, organizer of the consortium, director of the Titus Center for Franchising and professor of business and mass communications.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to educate and share the exciting outlook of franchising. By educating aspiring entrepreneurs, we can open the door of franchising to them. Franchising is one of the most important pieces to our economic success in the U.S. and offers endless opportunities to entrepreneurs.”
The Franchise Educators’ Consortium was launched as an initiative to bring together various figures involved in teaching franchising. The group have received support from the IFA, and presented an update about franchise education to the IFA’s board of directors during the convention.
The consortium has also come together to form the Intercollegiate Franchise Network, which delivers online conferences to students of member universities.
