The flourishing boutique fitness franchise has promoted from within for its latest senior appointment.
Tough Mudder Bootcamp, the boutique workout franchise aligned with international events series Tough Mudder, has appointed a new CEO: Britt Canady.
Canady has a wealth of experience with the Tough Mudder Bootcamp, having initially joined the brand as a multi-unit franchisee in 2018. He soon realized the potential of Tough Mudder, and became the VP of strategy; after this, the role of CEO seemed an inevitability.
“When I first met with the Tough Mudder Bootcamp franchise development team as a prospective franchisee, I immediately knew this was a concept that I wanted to completely immerse myself in,” said Canady. “The opportunity for me to take the helm and drive a franchise I truly believe in is once in a lifetime. I’m proud to lead a franchise team that has the tools to further support our franchisees and most importantly, bring Tough Mudder Bootcamp’s workout to more communities than ever before.”
Tough Mudder Bootcamp currently operates seven locations throughout the U.S., and has more than 40 in the development pipeline. By the end of 2020, the brand hopes to have nearly 15 studios open, and 60 additional units awarded to franchise partners.
The franchise’s concept is focused on a community of likeminded participants accomplishing a 45-minute HIIT-based regimen. This leverages a combination of equipment including dumbbells, kettlebells, bodyweight training, sandbags, assault bikes, and rowers.
“We’re in a position as an organization with more resources than ever before to help our franchisees grow as well as to deliver our transformative workout to more customers across the United States through our franchise expansion strategy,” said Canady. “A core component is our new area rep program, which gives high-level investors the chance to take an active role in developing a globally recognized brand as area reps in their territory.”
