Tropical Smoothie Cafe has announced the opening of its 1,100th store, which is situated in Charlotte, North Carolina. The brand has been on a roll recently, it has opened 100 stores in nine months, and 42 in the first quarter of 2022. The new, milestone location will be owned and operated by Stacey and Maurice Pugh.

The brand has a strong presence in the state and city, with 58 locations state-wide and 13 in the city. The milestone location hosted a grand opening on June 3 in Riverbend Village, a new mixed-use living, shopping and office destination.
Stacey, Maurice and their two children, Ayanni and Makiri, bring a wide variety of experience and decades of community work to their new location in Riverbend Village. After extensive careers in program management and contract support, the pair saw franchising as an attractive choice and were impressed with the Tropical Smoothie Café brand.
