A leading better-for-you food and beverage brand has strengthened its grip on the Colorado market.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe, known for its healthy smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, and flatbreads, has announced that it will develop 38 new cafes across Colorado, through the signing of two sizable multi-unit franchising agreements.
One of these agreements comprises of 27 units, while the other will ensure the development of 11 Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations over the next five years. These additional franchise locations will contribute to the already 800-plus portfolio the brand operates across the U.S.
The brand’s Colorado area developers are the LeMieux family, who have been working with Tropical Smoothie Cafe since 2016. The family – husband-and-wife team Craig and Dianne, and their son Kyle and his wife Saverea – were instrumental to the signing of these multi-unit agreements.
“The five existing cafes we have in Colorado have quickly become fan favorites,” said Craig LeMieux, “and the active communities here have continued to gravitate towards our better-for-you menu items. This has resulted in an increased demand for additional cafes across the state, creating a tremendous business opportunity for experienced operators looking to diversify or be part of the brand’s early growth in Colorado.”
In 2018, Tropical Smoothie Cafe reported that its top 50 per cent of franchisees had average net revenues of $938,500 – a figure the brand hopes to raise to $1m by the end of 2025.
