Fuzzy’s Taco Shop has announced the signing of a multi-unit, 50-store agreement with Richard Maddox. The deal mainly covers the South, and the states of Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee where the brand will be entering for the first time. This deal also covers some existing states in which the brand seeks to deepen its presence, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Maddox is looking forward to bringing the brand’s unique flavor profile and high-quality ingredients to the Southeast region of the U.S.
“I was looking to add a Mexican restaurant brand to my portfolio, and the most important element was to find delicious food that would keep people coming back time and time again,” says Maddox.
“The Fuzzy’s Taco Shop corporate team’s growth goals for the brand very much align with what I have planned, so the timing made perfect sense. Their ability to keep the brand fresh and relevant is also impressive to me.”
Maddox’s first Fuzzy Taco’s Shop locations are expected to open in the first half of 2022 in Auburn, Alabama, and Albany, Georgia.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop started out in 2003 with the brand’s first location in Fort Worth, Texas. The brand has grown since to over 150 locations in 17 states.
